Marvel at the intricate architecture, the delicate carvings symbolic of stories past and the spiritual ambience of Korea’s most significant and oldest temple, the Bulguksa Temple (temple of the Buddha land). UNESCO listed since 1995 and sitting atop T’oham Mountain, the site is widely recognised as a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture and art of the Silla dynasty.

Bulguksa Temple is a Buddhist temple located in the outskirts of Gyeongju, South Korea. The temple became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995. The temple and the Sepkguram Grotto were constructed by Kim Dae-Seong; one of the Kings during the Silla Dynasty. Legend has it that the Temple was built to  honour the King’s parents in his present life and Seokguram Grotto was made to honour them in his former life. Often referred to as the ‘museum without walls’, you will witness the intricate display of architectural masterpieces set amongst an ambience of the mountain.
